Terms of Booking

Once confirmed, all bookings for self-catering accommodation cannot be amended or re-funded.

A DEPOSIT of 50% of the tariff is required with confirmation of booking. A provisional booking will be held for seven days pending confirmation, following which the unit will be released for further letting if the deposit has not been received. Cheques will be accepted for advance confirmation only and should be made payable to ‘CARNOCK HOUSE’. Arrivals within ten days require immediate deposit payment.

The BALANCE of 50% is payable on arrival either by cash or debit card.

CANCELLATION of a confirmed booking will result in loss of deposit paid only, with waiver of the balance due. You are advised to cover any potential loss with appropriate insurance.

PERIOD OF RESIDENCE counts from 3p.m. on day of arrival. No reduction for temporary absence. Rooms to be vacated by 10a.m. latest.

SHORT PERIOD STAYS are bookable in advance at the daily rate shown subject to two days minimum booking (last-minute one night bookings subject to availability). 

DOGS - If you are bringing your dog (or other pet such as a cat) with you, a flat rate of £10 per visit is payable.  Please do not leave your pet unattended in the building.

KEYS: Each unit is provided with a room and main entrance key, which are collected from Clarence Hotel Reception on arrival. Loss of keys will incur a £20 charge.


About Self-catering Flatlets

SMOKING  For the comfort of all guests, smoking is not permitted throughout Carnock. Please leave the building if you wish to smoke.

FLATLETS are self contained within the one room (except C01) providing kitchen, shower and toilet facilities. Double beds are 54 inch in C101,C201 and C03/C103/C203 and, when made up for sleeping, can stand up to stow away each day if required. In C02/C102/C202 the beds are king-sized divans and additional sleeping is provided by a sofa bed.

ROOM C01 is a compact king-sized double room with en-suite, but no cooking facilities and is available on room only, unserviced basis.

ST. MARGARETS FLAT comprises main living room with kitchenette and double sofa bed; twin and single bedrooms and separate shower room with WC. All rooms have part-sloping ceiling.

CALDEY FLAT comprises a large, light and airy main living room with kitchenette and stowaway double bed, two twin bedrooms and separate shower room with WC.


Utilities

HEATING is provided by gas powered central heating systems controlled by occupants via room thermostats.

ELECTRICITY & GAS There is no charge - price shown is inclusive of gas/electricity.

EACH UNIT is equipped with china, cutlery, cooking utensils, pillows, duvets and bedding for recommended maximum occupancy.

LINEN & TOWELS: Are provided on arrival for recommended maximum occupancy. Double beds in the studio flats are made up along with the single beds in St. Margaret's and Caldey flats. Where sofa beds and the double bed in Caldey flat are utilised to maximise occupancy, linen is povided for use by guests.
Any extra or change of linen/towels required during your stay can be hired from the Clarence Hotel - £4 for one set of bedsheets/pillowcases and £2 for one hand towel and bath towel.


CAR PARKING is not available off-street, but is permitted on seafront opposite Carnock House and on side street. Public car parks are within a short walk.
Please be advised that you cannot park within any broken white lines as these are for resident permit holders only, as well as avoiding any yellow lines.


PLEASE NOTE  To ensure the enjoyment of all residents, any complaints of noise or disturbance - whether from people or pets - will be investigated and, if necessary, occupants of any unit identified as the source of the complaints may be requested to leave without redress.


CLARENCE HOUSE HOTEL*

* Clarence Hotel administer all the bookings for Carnock House Self-Catering and Reception staff will deal with bookings and general queries.

  • As a general rule, all self-catering residents in Carnock House are welcome to use the amenities provided by Clarence Hotel (subject to availability/capacity).
  • The Clarence is licensed for Bar and Restaurant table service.
  • At certain times (e.g. special events, promotions, full to capacity), Carnock self-catering residents will not be allowed entry to the Bar as this will be reserved for Hotel residents.
  • Additionally, special deals for Hotel residents are not applicable to self-catering occupants of Carnock.
  • It is the policy of the Hotel that children must be monitored by a responsible adult at all times and children are not permitted in the Bar after 9 p.m.
  • Clarence House Hotel management reserve the right to refuse admission to any self-catering Carnock resident.

N.B. Carnock is not owned by Clarence Hotel and self-catering bookings cannot be transferred between the two. Use of hotel amenities cannot be guaranteed.

Any late booking of rooms in Carnock through online booking channels  other than this website (such as Booking.com) are of serviced accommodation provided directly by Clarence Hotel and subject to the terms and conditions of the Hotel.
